Only Instantaneous Movement is faster, imo. Basically a better version of Instant Transmission. |

Instant Transmission is...instant. So yeah it would be faster than the speed of light. Although if you were only using it to travel short distances then you'd waste a lot more time locking onto energy than you would if you were travelling at the speed of light. |

ki need? Well, you need ki to use the move, but you don't need to focus on an energy source to travel. |

Depends on what you mean with "faster" because technically, a time machine could be faster :P

What i mean is that you don't need to focus a person.plus, doesn't Instantaneous movement takes more of your energy than IT?
What i mean is that it takes you to the location faster than IT. Ex: A to B:1 second with instant transmission A To B:less than 1 second with the technique. Edited by The Dragon Slayer, Jan 21 2014, 08:20 PM.

"Instant Transmission" and "Instantaneous Movement" are not two different things. It's ONE technique. "Shunkan-Ido" in Japanese, which means "Instant Movement," and even that's just the Japanese term for "teleportation." Which means it's not about speed. It's teleportation. It's instant. Goku's in one place one second and then in a different place the next. If you have another technique in mind, it's probably Kibito's "Kai-Kai" ability, a much more advanced form of teleporting that doesn't require locking on to a person's ki like the Yardratan method does. The knucklehead dub writers probably called it "instantaneous/instant movement/transmission" once or twice, so the confusion's understandable. |

How can anything be faster then instant? There may be a move that requires less to set up, or something but once it "starts" your there, no time in between not even a millionth of a second |

Because of the "not having to lock onto an energy source" thing, I think it makes it slightly faster as you don't have to search for anything. You just think of a place. |

Faster to set up yes, but not actually faster travelling, instantaneous movement is instant, nothing is faster than instant, at the same time you disappear from one place, you appear on another, there is not a single planck time were you dont exist or exist in two places |

Travelling isn't the whole thing. Let's say someone needs to get somewhere fast, thinking makes the whole difference. Scenario 1: A person is in dire need. Goku must travel to save the person. Problem is, the energy source is weak and might not be sensed by Goku. What can he do? He probably has to search for a nearby energy. Scenario 2: A person is in dire need. Kibitoshin must teavel to save the person. He teleports with his ability without focusing and is able to help. In both scenarios, the heroes know the location. You pick the faster option. |
